One of the most common forms of electric heating in domestic premises is new, much more controllable storage heaters. These use cheaper off-peak electricity which reduces costs. The majority of modern storage heaters are the HHR type.(High Heat Retention). These are better insulated than all previous, therefore better able to store the heat so it can be used when needed, rather than leaking heat constantly throughout the day. Their heat is more controllable too, and fan assisted. This enables the room to be heated up faster, or keep it cool if you’re not using the heating side.
