Our story

With the enviable reputation we enjoy, the company is constantly striving to enhance our skill sets and services. One of the areas we place great emphasis on is training. This training is mainly focused in two areas. Firstly, to maintain and expand technical training & further qualifications, for both the company and all of our engineers. Just as importantly, the other aspect of our ongoing training concentrates on Health and Safety. We feel it is vital to be fully up-to-date in all relevant areas of Health and Safety, in order that our work constantly takes into account the well-being of our staff, clients and the public at large.

History

The company began as a sole tradership on the 6th December 1972. Telford New Town was in its infancy, with significant new developments all over the region. It was recognised very early on that there was an opportunity to be part of this expansion. To do this, it was essential to be on the ‘Roll of Approved Contractors’, with the national body for our industry, known by its acronym, NICEIC. This was achieved at the first attempt in 1975. Almost immediately, we were being invited to tender for projects by Telford Development Corporation (TDC) and local authorities. At this time, we only employed a few people. Over the next five or six years we gained an enviable reputation for the quality of our workmanship and service. We became a Limited Company in 1981, by which time we employed around 20 people, and, we were carrying out much larger and prestigious contracts. Read more about our history here.
